Job Title: Fabric Engineer

Overview:
We are currently recruiting for an experienced Fabric Engineer to work on a static site based in Musselburgh, Edinburgh. The successful candidate will be responsible for carrying out a variety of planned and reactive maintenance tasks, ensuring the site is maintained to a high standard and that all work is completed safely and efficiently.
Key Responsibilities:
* Undertake general fabric maintenance and repairs, including joinery, painting, plastering, tiling, and basic plumbing tasks.
* Deliver both planned preventive maintenance (PPM) and reactive works in line with service level requirements.
* Ensure all work is completed safely and in accordance with site procedures and Health & Safety regulations.
* Identify and report defects or potential issues promptly.
* Maintain accurate records of all works carried out.
* Provide a professional, customer-focused service at all times.
Requirements:
* Proven experience in a similar fabric maintenance or building services role.
* Multi-skilled across a range of trades such as joinery, painting, or general building maintenance.
* Good understanding of Health & Safety practices.
* Strong communication and problem-solving skills.
* Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Desirable:
* CSCS card or equivalent qualification.
* Relevant trade qualification (e.g. City & Guilds or NVQ).
* Basic plumbing or electrical knowledge.
Salary is negotiable and will be dependant on experience.
