Job Description
My client are seeking a Legal Assistant to support their Private Client team. The role involves providing administrative and file management support to fee earners handling matters such as Wills, Probate, Trusts and Lasting Powers of Attorney.
Key Responsibilities
1. Providing administrative support to solicitors and fee earners
2. Opening and closing client files in line with compliance procedures
3. Preparing correspondence and legal documents, including Wills and LPAs
4. Liaising with clients, courts, HMRC and other third parties
5. Managing diaries, appointments and meeting arrangements
6. Assisting with probate applications and estate administration paperwork
7. Handling incoming calls and emails in a professional manner
8. Maintaining accurate records and updating case management systems
9. Supporting billing and file management processes
Skills and Experience
10. Previous experience in a legal support role
11. Experience within Private Client (Wills, Probate, Trusts) desirable
12. Strong organisational skills and attention to detail
13. Good written and verbal communication skills
14. Confident IT skills, including Microsoft Office and case management systems
15. Ability to handle confidential information sensitively
16. Proactive and able to work both independently and as part of a team
