You will lead a broad corporate portfolio spanning finance, people services, legal and democratic services, digital, data, technology and transformation, with significant scope to influence outcomes across the whole organisation. Candidate requirements We’re looking for an inspirational and forward-thinking leader who brings extensive senior management experience and a strong track record of delivering high-quality corporate services within the public sector. You will be someone who confidently operates at a strategic level, offering clear vision, sound judgement and the ability to shape modern, effective and future-focused services across Finance, HR, Legal, Democratic, Technology and Transformation. The ideal candidate will have substantial experience as a Chief Finance Officer and the ability to confidently discharge the Council’s statutory Section 151 responsibilities, demonstrated through a strong track record of robust financial assurance, be politically astute, collaborative and skilled at building trusted relationships with Members, senior officers and external partners. You will combine robust professional expertise with a passion for public service, a commitment to strong governance and financial stewardship and the drive to lead change that supports the Council’s ambitions and delivers excellent outcomes for our communities.
