Job Description Orion Group is working with a leading infrastructure and construction client to source a Civils Design Manager to join there UK Construction team in the the North of Scotland.
As the Civils Design Manager, your core responsibilities will include:
To support site-based Civils project teams and early civils related stages of building projects.
To support implementation and manage the control of the design process to ensure that the design and procurement of specialist packages are delivered to meet project requirements in line with cost parameters.
To support Work Winning/Project Delivery teams by providing design input and cost-effective solutions.
What you'll be doing
Manage the development and implementation of design proposals ensuring they meet customer requirements including budget constraints, presenting proposals for approval to the customer. The design should deliver: Safety in construction and use Quality within affordable parameters. Ease of maintenance, energy efficiency with minimum environmental impact and Innovation to meet customer goals and positive impact on the local community.
Manage and ensure effective briefing of the Design Team. This includes, where necessary, the management of any 3rd parties or novated design teams to ensure that they meet all customer specifications,...
