Senior Transport Planner
Location: Manchester
Salary: £40,000 - £45,000 – Depends on Experience

This employee-owned consultancy specializes in the built environment, with over 300 employees across 14 UK offices. A strong commitment to employee well-being and professional growth drives their success. The Manchester office comprises 10 transport planners, from graduates to technical leaders.
Key Responsibilities
* Technical Expertise: Prepare Transport Statements and Assessments, Travel Plans, and transport sections of Environmental Statements.
* Project Leadership: Oversee tasks and projects, ensuring clear communication within the team.
* Client Interaction: Represent the company in meetings with clients, planners, architects, and contractors.
* Design Contribution: Assist in developing site access designs and masterplans, considering all transport modes.
* Quality Assurance: Adhere to the company’s Quality Management System (QMS) in all projects.
* Resource Allocation: Manage project resources effectively to ensure efficiency.
* Training & Mentorship: Provide technical guidance and training to Transport Planners and Graduates.
Key Requirements
* A relevant degree (or equivalent) and actively working towards a professional qualification.
* Extensive experience as a Transport Planner, preferably in a consultancy setting.
* Ability to manage multiple client expectations and contribute effectively to project meetings.
* Commercial awareness with a basic understanding of project finances.
* Strong numerical skills, data analysis capability, and proficiency in junction modelling software such as JUNCTIONS and LinSig (or equivalent).
