Job Description
New Directions Education is recruiting a SEND Primary Teacher for an outstanding primary SEN school in Knowsley, supporting children with Autism Spectrum Condition (ASC).
You will be working in small classes of 6–8 pupils, delivering highly personalised learning in a calm, structured environment. Behaviour is low-level, and the school is well-resourced with strong leadership and specialist support in place.
What you’ll be doing:
1. Teaching pupils with ASC in small, well-supported classes
2. Planning and delivering engaging, differentiated lessons
3. Supporting communication, social development, and independence
4. Working closely with experienced support staff and therapists
What we’re looking for:
5. A qualified primary teacher (QTS/QTLS)
6. Experience teaching pupils with Autism is desirable, but not essential
7. A calm, nurturing, and structured teaching approach
8. Able to pass an enhanced DBS and provide recent references
