About the School
Liberton High School is a non-denominational secondary school with approximately 900 pupils, serving the South East Edinburgh community in partnership with associated primaries: Craigour Park, Gilmerton, Liberton, and Prestonfield. The school is moving into a new Community Campus, expected to be completed in Spring 2026, with a projected roll of about 1100 students within four years.
The leadership team includes the Head Teacher, three Depute Head Teachers, and a Business Manager. The school employs 65 teaching staff and 26 support staff. Our school has demonstrated success through improved attainment over the past five years.
Role and Responsibilities
We are looking for a creative and innovative individual to join our Business and Computing Faculty as a Teacher of Computing. The successful candidate will contribute their skills, knowledge, and experience to support our students' success, while also bringing new ideas and strategies suited to our learners.
Additional Information
Salaries will be in accordance with the Scheme of Salaries and Conditions of Service for Teaching Staff in School Education.
This position involves regulated work with children and/or protected adults under the Protection of Vulnerable Groups (Scotland) Act 2007. The preferred candidate must join the PVG Scheme or undergo a PVG Scheme update check. If the candidate has spent three or more months outside the UK in the last five years, an Overseas Criminal Record Check will be required. Employment is contingent upon satisfactory completion of these checks.
