The role We are seeking a results-driven Sales Manager to lead our SME-focused Business Development team. This is a people management role all about driving performance, coaching your team, and delivering results through structured support, clear processes, and motivational leadership. As part of our Management Team, you'll play a pivotal role in shaping the future of our sales operations and helping your team exceed their targets. What you'll be doing Lead and manage a team of Business Development Managers focused on SME client acquisition Set clear goals, monitor performance, and hold regular 1:1s and team meetings Drive accountability, motivation, and high standards across the team Provide hands-on coaching and guidance to help your team improve their skills and close more deals Monitor team KPIs and maintain accurate reports on activity, pipeline, and performance Provide regular updates and insights to senior leadership Help streamline sales processes and improve the tools and resources the team uses Support the wider team and business with any other relevant duties as required What you'll bring Proven experience managing a team in a fast-paced sales or business development environment Strong leadership and coaching skills able to inspire, challenge, and support Excellent organisational and communication abilities A commercial mindset with a focus on performance and growth Confidence using CRM systems and reporting tools Experience in ecommerce, SaaS, digital marketing, or technology desirable A background working with retail sector clients desirable What's on offer £40,000 basic salary with £58,000 OTE 37 days annual leave per year Core hours Monday to Thursday 8am4pm with early finish on Fridays Family-first culture with regular office fun days, bi-annual parties and awards Healthcare cash plan via Medicash Paid sick leave and enhanced maternity and paternity pay Free onsite parking at Cobalt Business Park, Newcastle Shoptimised is an equal opportunities employer.
