Due to continued expansion across our clients business, they are now recruiting for a Production Manager to join their team in the St Helens Area on a Days based position.

Role Description
1. Support the plant teams with expert process knowledge and technical skills to ensure that the plant is operated, at all times, in compliance with standards to achieve safety, quality, output, manufacturing efficiencies and cost.
2. Be competent with the CI framework and drive the application of CI tools, techniques and ways of working, so that they become the standard method.
3. Develop and deliver comprehensive and robust training with the Hot End, ensuring all Operatives assigned to work in that area work safely and have sufficient knowledge and skills to maintain efficiency and quality standards.
4. Ensure compliance with and promote all health, safety, environmental and energy requirements for the job, site and company. To confront and report unsafe behaviour to prevent safety or environmental incidents.
5. Facilitate, lead and support workshops drawing on the support of the CI Manager where necessary and setting clear workshop priorities.
Skills and Qualifications
6. Process plant operation, with technical competency achieved or understood in area of application.
7. Supervisory management experience or clear demonstration of supervisory potential in knowledge and skills, would be beneficial.
8. Experience in engineering or technical application within the current or similar operation.
9. Knowledge of CI Framework tools and techniques (LEAN, SIX SIGMA) would be beneficial but clear ability to learn essential.
