In this role your potential earning will be over £55,000 per annum
Salary: £54,791 per annum, plus night shift allowance , 22.5 days annual leave with bank holidays and a defined contribution pension scheme. A weekend supplement for Saturday (£54.73 per attendance) and Sunday (£109.47 per attendance) shift attendance is applicable.

Hours: Full time, equivalent to 40 hours per week
This role is a Pool Engineer/Technician position and requires a high degree of flexibility and adaptability, as you will be providing cover for other Technicians during periods of annual leave, sickness absence, and other operational requirements.
When not providing shift cover, your standard working pattern will typically be Monday to Friday, 06:15 to 14:45 (day shift).
As part of the role, you may be required to cover the following shift patterns:
Early Shift - Monday to Friday: 06:15 – 14:45, Saturday: 06:15 – 18:00 and Sunday: 07:00 – 17:00
Late Shift - Monday to Friday: 13:45 – 20:00
Night Shift - Monday to Friday: 21:50 – 06:25, Saturday 19:00 to 07:00 and Sunday: 22:00 – 06:15
Please note that these shift patterns may vary depending on operational requirements and the specific cover needed at the time.
The Role
• Keep our automation assets performing at their best through preventative, predictive, and corrective maintenance.
• Drive continuous improvement projects from concept to implementation.
• Collaborate with the Engineering Manager and team leaders, completing reports and logging faults.
• Diagnose and resolve automation breakdowns quickly to keep operations flowing.
• Monitor performance and work with stakeholders to boost output.
• Take ownership of Continuous Improvement projects — from concept to implementation — focused on enhancing machinery performance in our Hub/Mail Centre.
About You
• Qualified in electrical and mechanical engineering (minimum ONC Electrical Engineering / NVQ Level 3 or equivalent).
• Experienced in maintaining automation equipment, ideally with PLC knowledge.
• Strong understanding of Health & Safety legislation.
• A proactive team player who can also work independently.
• Full manual UK driving licence (for occasional travel to other sites).
