Pay: £160 – £240 per day (based on experience)
Hours: 8:00 am – 4:00 pm
About the Role
We’re currently working with a well-regarded secondary school near Sholing, Southampton, who are looking to appoint a Maths Teacher to join their team from September 2025. This is a full-time, long-term role with the possibility of becoming permanent for the right person.
You’ll be teaching Maths across Key Stages 3 and 4, within a forward-thinking and supportive department. Whether you're an experienced teacher or an ECT, if you're passionate about helping students succeed in Maths, we’d love to hear from you.
What You’ll Be Doing
Teaching Maths to students in KS3 and KS4
Planning and delivering engaging lessons in line with the national curriculum
Supporting students of varying abilities to build confidence in Maths
Working closely with colleagues to share ideas and resources
Contributing to school life beyond the classroom – trips, clubs, or other enrichment activities

This is a mixed secondary academy for students aged 11–16, with a strong reputation in the local area for both academic performance and pastoral care. The leadership team is supportive, the Maths department is well-organised, and there’s a real focus on collaboration and continuous improvement. Staff are encouraged to develop their practice through regular CPD and career development opportunities.
What You’ll Need
QTS (Qualified Teacher Status) in the UK
Experience teaching Maths to KS3 and KS4 (placements or previous roles)
A confident classroom presence and good behaviour management
A positive, proactive attitude and willingness to contribute to school life
ECTs and experienced teachers are both encouraged to apply
