THE EMPLOYER IS: ATELIER HAIR CO LTDTo deliver a professional, friendly and efficient front of house service in the salon, ensuring clients feel welcomed, appointments are accurately managed and administrative tasks are handled promptly for the smooth operation of the salon.
Responsibilities
* Greet clients as they enter the salon, offer refreshments, keeping the waiting area tidy.
* Answering and directing incoming telephone calls in a courteous and timely manner.
* Manage any client queries, complaints or feedback.
* Schedule, confirm, cancel and rebook appointments using salon software.
* Send SMS or email appointment reminders to clients.
* Maintain accurate client records, update contact details and service history.
* Process payments (Card, cash and vouchers) at point of sale.
* Issue receipts, process refunds/ adjustments.
* Monitor and top retail stock (Shampoo, hair products) and completing stock takes.
* File and maintain client consent forms and data records (ensuring confidentiality).
* Assist with basic bookkeeping (daily takings reconciliation, petty cash etc)
* Produce daily / weekly reports (appointment numbers, cancellations, revenue)
* Order office and salon supplies.
* Ensure reception area, waiting area and display shelves are kept clean and tidy. Replenish magazines, brochures and refreshments.
* Assist with salon cleaning.
* Assist with social media scheduling for client appointments and promotions.
* Support stylists by preparing client notes.
* Participate in training as arranged.
Skills and Qualifications
* Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
* Strong focus on customer service and interpersonal skills.
* Basic numeracy skills and the ability to handle cash and card payments.
* Good organisational skills, time management and ability to multitask.
* Computer literacy, confidence when using Microsoft office ( Word, Excel, Outlook) and willing to learn new software used in the salon.
* Good telephone manner.
* Ability to maintain confidentiality.
* Prior experience in a reception or front of house role.
* Basic marketing or social media skills.
* Flexibility.
