We are looking for additional inspirational Lecturers to take on exciting new roles within our Maths department.
Key Responsibilities
* Prepare and teach on GCSE resit courses and functional skills
* Contribute to aspirational teaching, learning and assessment
* Keep accurate records for learners’ progress in College
Key Person Specification Requirements
* Degree
* Teacher trained (PGCE, DTLLS or CertEd) or working towards
* GCSE Grade C (4/5) in English and Maths (or equivalent)
* Ability to teach another subject would be advantageous
* Knowledge and understanding of awarding body standards and requirements
* Understanding of equality, diversity and inclusion in work and the learning environment
* Experience of working in Further Education
* Up-to-date occupational experience
* Enhanced DBS check
Additional Information
We welcome applications from Newly Qualified Teachers (NQTs) and from current industry practitioners who do not have a teaching qualification. The College offers a Lecturer Development Programme with induction to all College systems and processes, a curriculum mentor, and regular 1-2-1 support from the Quality team. Industry experts without a teaching qualification will be supported through the Introduction to Teaching at Cheshire College South & West 12-week programme.
