Religious Education Teacher
Full-time, Fixed Term (Initially until End of Summer Term with Possibility of Extension)

About the Role
We are seeking an enthusiastic and committed Religious Education teacher to join our secondary school on a full-time basis. This is an excellent opportunity for a dedicated educator to make a real impact on our students' understanding of religious and philosophical concepts.
Key Responsibilities
* Plan and deliver engaging RE lessons across Key Stages 3 and 4 (and potentially Key Stage 5)
* Create an inclusive learning environment that respects diverse beliefs and backgrounds
* Assess and monitor student progress, providing constructive feedback
* Contribute to curriculum development and departmental planning
* Support students' spiritual, moral, social and cultural development
* Maintain high standards of behaviour and attendance in line with school policies
* Participate in school activities, parents' evenings and departmental meetings
Essential Requirements
* Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent
* Degree in Religious Education, Theology, Religious Studies or related subject
* Experience teaching RE at secondary level
* Strong subject knowledge across major world religions and philosophical themes
* Excellent classroom management skills
* Commitment to safeguarding and promoting student welfare
Desirable
* Experience teaching examination classes (GCSE/A-Level)
* Knowledge of current RE curriculum developments
* Ability to contribute to wider school life
