Our client is a highly respected engineering business operating within the tool making and mould/die sector. With advanced in-house CNC and EDM capabilities, they manufacture, maintain, and repair high-precision tooling to exacting standards. The Role
This is a true tool making position offering varied, hands-on work. As a Toolmaker, you will be responsible for the build, assembly, fitting, and maintenance of complex tooling, ensuring all tools perform reliably and meet strict quality requirements.
About the Role
£44,033.60 - £50,694.80 starting salary
Permanent vacancy
Night shifts - working 4x 11 hour shifts
Key Responsibilities
Assemble, fit, and prove tooling components to specification
Working on Injection Moulding & Die Casting Tools
Carry out tool repairs, modifications, and preventative maintenance
Perform hand fitting, spotting, bench work, and precision alignment
Diagnose tooling faults and implement effective corrective actions
Collaborate closely with CNC and EDM departments
Inspect and measure critical features to ensure accuracy and compliance
About You
Time-served Toolmaker or strong background in precision engineering
Experience with mould tools, die tools, or high-precision tooling
Excellent fitting, bench, and problem-solving skills
Confident reading and interpreting engineering drawings
Quality-focused with a keen eye for detail
