Qualifications and Training Essential • Registered with the GMC. • MB BS (or equivalent). • Shall have completed foundation training or have equivalent experience and competencies. Desirable • Experience of working in psychiatry at foundation or core level. Knowledge Essential • Sound knowledge of psychiatry • Awareness of current issues in clinical research and research methodology, including Research Governance (RG) and Good Clinical Practice (GCP) Frameworks. Desirable • Excellent knowledge of psychiatry in relation to duties of current post. • Good understanding of national and regional research strategic priorities • Awareness of current issues in mental health service provision, policy and legislation
