The Reporting Analyst role is based at The Entertainer Head Office in Amersham. Applicants must live within a reasonable distance to the office or be willing to relocate by the role commencement date.
Job Purpose
The Reporting Analyst is responsible for collecting, analysing, and interpreting data to produce clear, actionable reports and dashboards that support effective business decision-making. The role focuses on tracking key performance indicators, identifying trends, and delivering insights that drive performance and process improvement. Working cross‑functionally with Buying, Merchandising, Trade Planning, Finance, and Retail Operations, the Analyst enhances visibility of sales performance, promotional effectiveness, and inventory health across the business.
Key Responsibilities
* Collect, extract, and consolidate data from multiple systems to support reporting.
* Design, build, and maintain reports, dashboards, and visualisations using Excel, SQL, Power BI or Tableau.
* Validate data accuracy and integrity, resolving discrepancies to ensure confidence.
* Automate reporting processes to improve efficiency, consistency, and scalability.
* Analyse and monitor key metrics such as sales performance, promotional ROI, and inventory levels.
* Identify trends, risks, and opportunities, translating data into clear insights and recommendations.
Qualifications & Experience
1. Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel (complex formulas, pivot tables, data modelling).
2. Working knowledge of SQL for data extraction and manipulation.
3. Experience with data visualisation and BI tools such as Power BI or Tableau.
4. Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills for interpreting large and complex data sets.
5. Excellent communication skills and ability to explain insights to non‑technical audiences.
