Manufacturing Engineer - Initial12 month contract
Salary: £49.35 DOE (Umbrella)
Location: Derby
As a Manufacturing Engineer you will be doing:
* Ensure that manufacturing processes are capable of achieving and sustaining the design definition
* Promote a culture of zero defects and ensure that digital systems are developed and deployed
* Right First-Time manufacturing, guaranteeing product quality and conformity
* Develop, implement, validate, maintain and continuously improve manufacturing processes
* Capture, analyse and use data to demonstrate and improve the current and future capability of manufacturing processes.
Experience and skillset - Manufacturing Engineer
* Professionally Qualified Engineer
* Strong knowledge of machining processes (laser, grinding, milling and EDM)
* Strong analytical skills
* Proven track record in technical problem-solving, along with a solid understanding of Six Sigma / Lean methodologies.
* Proficiency with manufacturing systems such as CAPP, MES, SAP
* Knowledge of coating processes (plating, thermal spray and vapour deposition) is desirable
