Job summary If you are a Band 5 looking for the next step or a Band 6 looking for a new challenge, this may be the opportunity for you. You will join a friendly team of dietitians with good dietetic assistant and admin support. You will be responsible for a specific area and your job plan will include care homes, home visits and clinics. Although the workload will be mostly nutrition support, your job plan will include a general clinic and some group education. The whole department consists of over fifty dietitians and dietetic assistants, and there are plenty of opportunities to collaborate with and learn from other teams. In addition, we have excellent working relationships with the other two department across North Wales, and there will be opportunities to work with your colleagues in other areas. All our Dietitians have annual appraisals to identify development needs, with all requests for study leave considered and dedicated CPD time every month. Many of our Dietitians are involved in research with published work. We have an active development programme, considering support for Msc level study. We welcome new ideas and creative thinking and are always keen to hear from our team. You would be encouraged and supported in considering improved and more effective ways of working. Main duties of the job You will be responsible for a caseload which includes outpatient clinics, care homes, and home visits caring for patients who are both orally and enterally fed. In addition your job plan will include clinics and some group education. You will have access to support from a dietetic assistant, who will be able to help with booking appointments, reviews and resource management. The health board is a Nutricia contract, and you will be responsible for managing your home enterally fed patients who receive their feed and equipment via Nutricia Homeward. The ability to speak Welsh is desirable for this post; Welsh and/or English speakers are equally welcome to apply.
