Job Description
Location: 10 Paradise Walk
To assist, and deputize for, the Housekeeping Manager, in maintaining the hotels high standards of cleanliness and presentation in both the bedrooms and public areas/gym and spa.
The role will involve working across a 7 day week with shift patterns varying in between the hours of 7am-6pm
About The Role
Primary Duties & Responsibilities
* To ensure standards of cleanliness, hygiene and tidiness in all bedrooms/corridors/function rooms/public areas are maintained:
* Ensuring the daily cleaning of assigned rooms, bathrooms, corridor areas and public areas to the highest standards. This includes changing bed linen, replacing towels, cleaning bathrooms thoroughly, vacuuming, damp mopping and damp dusting daily.
* Ensuring the upkeep of vacant rooms.
* Replenishing brochures, paper goods and consumables throughout the bedrooms/hotel.
* Maintaining the Laundry, Storerooms, and cart/carry-tray.
* Implementing the hotel’s good customer relations policy, including politely addressing every guest you meet and directing all guests where appropriate.
* Provision of relevant items for VIPs
* Producing daily housekeeping reports.
* Overseeing Housekeeping department in line with Housekeeping Manager
* Staff training and mentoring
* Attending any appropriate off and on the job, training courses
* Attending any relevant management meetings.
On managers day off /holidays and when requested take responsibility for the following:
* Daily task delegation to team-make daily list (including special requests and PA) for housekeepers.
* Supervising team in absence of Housekeeping Manager
* Daily bedroom checks in line with standards
* Liaising with Reception re room allocations- keep updated with room status
* Actioning any maintenance requests in order to comply with the hotel’s established quality standards and ensure guest satisfaction.
* Informing the Housekeeping Manager daily of any additional supplies and items needed and placing orders via correct procedure when manager is on day off.
* Check laundry area and stores after work-sort if needed
* Check public areas meet standard before PA staff shifts finish
* Update Rota (if staff are sick, late, given additional hours or cancelled)
Carrying out any other duties as may be reasonably required by Management and/or Housekeeping Manager

* previous housekeeping supervisory experience in a busy hotel environment
