Job Title: Despatch Operative
Location: Cleeve Road, Evesham
Job Type: Permanent
Reporting into: Logistics Shift Manager
Salary: £14.86ph
Hours: Red shift Sunday-Tuesday (Alternate Wednesdays)
OR Blue shift: Thursday-Sunday (alt Wednesdays)
09:00am – 21:00pm
Main purpose of the role:
The main purpose of a Despatch Operative/Picker is to accurately select and prepare products for shipment, ensuring that the customer orders are fulfilled efficiently. Pickers have a crucial role in supply chain by ensure the orders are prepared correctly.
Job Responsibilities:
* Able to pick cases of product from one pallet and building it on to another.
* Adhere to health and safety rules and responsibilities
* Person is flexible and able to work in different area’s of despatch completing different roles.
* Can work with technology i.e. tablet or pick scanner and understand how to operate them.
* Ensure you are cleaning as you go to ensure you are working in a safe area.
* Complete temperature checks to ensure product is with in temperature tolerance
* Report any issues to the shift manger
* Able to complete stocktakes at the end of shift
Job requirements:
Skills & Experience required to do this role...
* Able to speak and understand English
* Numerical skills
* Timely and punctually
* Able to use a tablet or a pick scanner
* Flexible – has the ability to complete different task upon request
* Able to work in a team environment or on your own
* Experienced in operating MHE (has a licence)
* Able to work in cold environment
