Job Description
Why join Rolls-Royce?
We have an exciting opportunity to join Aftermarket Operations Business Development & Capability (BD&C) as a Strategy Analyst.
At Rolls-Royce, we pioneer the power that matters to our customers, to society and to the planet. We deliver the best jet engines in the world. Our product portfolio powers more than 35 types of commercial aircraft, and we have over 13,000 engines in-service around the world. Aftermarket Operations works to ensure the cost-effective availability of in-service engines to our customers, keeping them flying and thus providing a critical revenue/project generator to Rolls-Royce. Within Aftermarket Operations, our BD&C Team leads our off wing and on wing expansion, driving capacity and capability to meet our aftermarket demand now and in the future.
Engine flying hours are higher than ever before, and our MRO (Maintenance Repair & Overhaul) network is consequently undergoing an unprecedented period of growth to service our global fleet. To ensure our customers' needs are met and effective operational solutions are delivered, there is a need to focus and develop key areas of our Aftermarket Operations strategy – which will in turn spin-off early phase capacity or capability projects to be developed.
This high-profile role would suit a candidate who is looking to broaden their breadth, grow and demonstrate their strategic agility, and gain visibility within a critical and growing part of Rolls-Royce.
What you will be doing:
The successful candidate will operate across both the strategic and project spaces, with the following responsibilities:
* Influencing and analysing Customer Owned Shop opportunities as part of broader Network Strategy Development
* Leadership of capacity projects from business development into Project Launch phase
* Support evaluation work for new Maintenance, Repair & Overhaul opportunities.
* Managing strategic imperatives for existing network partners and engine types
* Ad-hoc research tasks to inform recommendations for strategic decision making
* Lead governance framework activity for MRO strategy and coordinate inputs from across the business
Who we're looking for:
Being part of Rolls-Royce, you'll know we put safety first, do the right thing, keep it simple and make a difference. These principles form our behaviours. They are an essential component of our assessment process and are fundamental qualities that we seek for all roles. In addition, we are also looking for a candidate that:
* Degree qualified or equivalent industry experience
* Has experience of the Aftermarket Operations organisation and/or one or more roles in PM, Customer Management, Business Development, Procurement, Supplier Management or Operations.
* Is comfortable working with ambiguity and fast changing environments.
* Experience of working and/or leading multi-function globally distributed teams towards effective understanding and delivery of business requirements
* An ability to solve complex problems, with good analytical capability and a desire to grow and apply their knowledge of MRO activities.
* Good interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate complex information with individuals at all levels within the organisation.
Our vision is to ensure that the excellence and ingenuity that shaped our history continues into our future. Our multi-year transformation programme aims to turn Rolls-Royce into a high-performing, competitive, resilient and growing company. Join us, and it can be your future vision too.
