Mechanical Building Services Design Engineer
Meridian are working with a reputable and well-established M&E contractor in the North-west, who are looking to grow their Design team. This is due to continued successful years, resulting in successful bids for commercial fit-outs on projects across the UK. You will work closely with the Design Manager to develop the designs for the Mechanical Building Services, such as HVAC systems, sanitary and plumbing systems, hot and cold water systems etc. throughout the buildings. Salary up to £50,000 DoE

Full-time office-based role in Bolton, with flexible working hours across Monday - Friday

Joining in a senior role, helping Junior technicians and working closely with the Design Manager
Working on reputable projects across the commercial sector for well-known clients and contractors
Requirements for the role:
Experience of designing commercial Mechanical Building Services
Experience developing designs at different RIBA Stages of Work
Client-focussed approach, to understand their needs whilst considering time restraints and pricing
Able to work independently or alongside other members of the Design team
Able to report on your own work to improve and feedback to other team members and managers
Strong presentation skills, to present and adapt to customer, client and supply chain needs
Technical experience with software such as AutoCAD, IES, Hevacomp and MEPWorx
Responsibilities include:
Prepare documentation, schedules, drawings, etc as required through the RIBA work stages to suit Employers Requirements
Utilise industry approved methods to develop calculations and prepare reports for client approval
Interpret specifications to develop contractors proposals documentation and design drawings in line withtheirrequirements
Assist the Junior and Intermediate engineers by offering valuable input and technical advice
Assist Operations, Pre-Construction and Estimating teams by providing technical support and advice
Managing, maintaining and developingclient relationships
