Overview
Procurement Coordinator role at IPL International Procurement and Logistics.
Location: IPL Normanton Head Office. Schedule: Monday - Friday, 8:30am - 5:00pm. Contract Type: Permanent.
Responsibilities
* Lead grower interactions on a daily basis to ensure programme adherence and relationships are maintained
* Data analysis to assist buying team with: Supplier Management, Seasonal Reviews, Supplier Payments, Purchasing structures
* First point of contact for all site day to day queries, resolving with the relevant member of the Business Unit if necessary
* Protect inbound by early identification of over capacity issues and manage contingency situation, when applicable liaising with 3rd party packers / suppliers
* Manage packaging forecasts for Business Unit, liaising with site, IPL packaging teams and 3rd parties
* Consolidation of packing plans for Business Unit
* Manage critical path for introduction of new lines / products/ pack types etc… into relevant site
* Processing supplier/haulier claims, whilst ensuring the company claims procedures are followed
* Investigate packhouse issues with relevant stakeholders and keep the Business Unit updated
* Liaise with the Business Unit Administrator on deliveries into IPL sites
* Agree daily packing requirements with IPL Site Planners and liaise with despatch and site planners to manage load and go situations
* Monitor and investigate where necessary packhouse yields and costs providing updates to relevant Buyers and chairing weekly meeting with site to discuss performance
* Minimising waste and reducing cost impact to Business Unit
* Initiate and conclude the label confirmation process for new / existing lines by following the IPL Label Confirmation procedure
* Knowledge of and ability to step into planning role to provide suitable cover when necessary
* Spending time in packhouse identifying issues and improvement opportunities
Qualifications and requirements
* Effective communication skills whilst being able to perform strong attention to detail and accuracy at all times
* Ability to adapt quickly
* Ability to work well in a team
* Strong Analytical skills
* Microsoft Office Excel - Intermediate
* GCSE Mathematics or equivalent
