This role can be based in the UK&I, Nordics, or Germany.
The Position
This role supports the Northern Europe Asset Management business within commercial asset management, focusing on protecting client and investor interests by maximizing project net asset value, enforcing contractual rights, optimizing supply chain value, tendering, procurement, and identifying commercial opportunities to enhance asset operations. It involves managing projects across technologies like Solar, Wind, and Energy Storage, including owner interaction, contract management, supporting insurance claims, analyzing project data, forecasting asset performance, and supporting continuous improvement. Some travel within Northern Europe may be required.
Key Accountabilities
* Support asset management to increase the net asset value of renewable energy assets (Wind, Solar, Energy Storage).
* Manage ongoing contracts with suppliers, consultants, and subcontractors.
* Lead tenders for new services and renewals, negotiate contracts, and liaise with legal teams.
* Review contract performance, including supplier KPIs, bonuses, and damages.
* Resolve commercial issues with stakeholders and attend supplier meetings.
* Manage a client’s contract portfolio, report on status, and provide commercial advice.
* Review contractual terms for asset managers on various topics.
* Handle physical defect reviews, notices of non-conformance, and follow-up.
* Assist in integrating new projects and act as Adoption Lead if needed.
* Participate in continuous improvement activities and meetings.
* Maintain contract management tools and trackers.
Knowledge
* Proficiency in Microsoft Office, SharePoint, DocuSign.
* Understanding of the Northern European regulatory landscape.
* Knowledge of subcontracting, tendering, and renewable energy contracts.
* Awareness of HSQE requirements is advantageous.
Skills
* Excellent organization skills for managing multiple tasks under deadlines.
* Attention to detail, especially in technical and legal documentation.
* Strong stakeholder relationship skills.
* Problem-solving and contractual analysis skills.
* Excellent communication and negotiation abilities.
Experience
* Previous experience in commercial and contract management preferred.
* Experience in construction, asset management, or renewables preferred.
* Experience managing O&M, PPA, construction, or major component contracts.
* Dispute resolution experience and handling insurance claims.
Qualifications
* Relevant business, contract, management, or renewable qualifications.
* Degree or HND preferred but not mandatory.
