The Fertility Service is seeking a Clinical Fellow (Locally Employed Doctor) in Reproductive Medicine to join the teams working across the Hewitt Fertility Centres at both the Liverpool and Knutsford sites. This is a 12-month fixed-term post, with the possibility of extension, created to complement the existing medical workforce.
The successful candidate will assist in delivering high‑quality care as part of a multidisciplinary team at the Hewitt Fertility Centres, based at Liverpool Women’s Hospital (part of Liverpool University Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust) and at the Knutsford site. Post holders will be expected to work flexibly according to service needs, including clinical sessions, cross‑site clinic cover and some daytime weekend work.
This role will strengthen the current team within the Reproductive Medicine Department across both Liverpool and Knutsford.

Job Responsibilities
All doctors will undergo a training needs assessment at the start of their post, which will be used to develop a competency‑based training plan for the duration of their fellowship. The role includes:
* Delivering patient care across clinical sessions, cross‑site cover and daytime weekend duties
* Providing comprehensive training and support in reproductive medicine, including ultrasound for reproductive medicine (including HyCoSy), fertility and andrology, basic and complex IVF, transvaginal oocyte recovery, embryo transfer and surgical sperm retrieval
* Participating in and contributing to research activities within the department
* Developing and applying competency‑based training plans and maintaining professional development records
Qualifications / Training
* Full GMC registration
* MRCOG or equivalent
Research
* Willingness to be involved in research
* Evidence of a commitment to research
Experience and Skills (Special Knowledge, Supervisory Experience and Communication)
* Clinical training and experience in general obstetrics and gynaecology to at least ST4 level or equivalent
* Ability to work independently once competent
* Intermediate gynaecological ultrasound skills
* Demonstrable experience in assisted reproduction and fertility
* Reproductive Medicine procedures including oocyte collection, intrauterine insemination and embryo transfer
