Social Work Team Manager - Transitions Team

Sanctuary Personnel is seeking a permanent Team Manager within the Transitions Team. This full-time role is based in Haringey with a salary up to £59,328 per annum.
Responsibilities
* Manage and supervise a team of Social Workers, Social Work Students and administrative staff, including recruitment and resourcing, induction and development, and management of staff performance and conduct using formal processes where necessary.
* Manage the workload of the team to ensure a robust care management process, timely assessments of need, and timely case reviews in line with statutory requirements, eligibility criteria and department policy.
* Manage a commissioning budget by close monitoring of the cost of packages of care.
* Support the Council with analysis of the team budget to identify areas for financial efficiencies and value.
* Ensure packages of care are innovative, cost-effective and aligned with assessed needs by embedding a strengths-based approach, with regular staff feedback via supervision, conversations and team meetings.
* Contribute to service planning and implement service developments; work with health professionals to ensure seamless services for transitioning young people (including hospital discharge planning, continuing and palliative care, and joint packages of care).
* Prioritize involvement of young people and parent carers; ensure care act assessments are high quality and prioritized.
* Ensure case file recording and young people information is maintained on ICS and adults social care systems in line with standards and performance indicators.
* Identify staff training needs and ensure high standards of professional practice through individual and team development, and management of staff performance and productivity.
* Within delegated authority, investigate complaints from Council Members, MPs and the public according to department procedures.
* Undertake any other duties consistent with the objectives of the post as required by the line manager.
Requirements
* A professional Social Work qualification or equivalent.
* Understanding of relevant legislation.
* Registered or eligible for registration.
* Good working knowledge of relevant legislation.
