Job Title: Occupational Therapist
Location: Underley Gardens School, Kirkby Lonsdale LA6 2DZ
Salary: Up to £53,200 pro rata (dependent on experience)
We are seeking an Occupational Therapist to join our in-house clinical team at Underley Gardens School. You will work collaboratively with the education team to deliver bespoke OT assessment and intervention to pupils who may have experienced developmental trauma, be neurodivergent or have SEMH needs. You will follow the OFG Occupational Therapy Ways of Working, hold an OT caseload with support from your clinical supervisor and site lead, and contribute to staff training and consultation as required. Responsibilities
* Deliver bespoke Occupational Therapy assessment and intervention to pupils (developmental trauma, neurodivergence, SEMH needs).
* Work within the OFG Occupational Therapy Ways of Working and integrate with education teams.
* Hold an occupational therapy caseload with supervision and site leadership support.
* Contribute to staff training and consultation as required.
* Engage in safeguarding and person-centred practices to support pupils’ independence and outcomes.
Essential Criteria
* Recognised Occupational Therapy degree
* Valid and up-to-date HCPC Registration
* Registered member of RCOT
* Relevant experience in providing OT services within a similar setting is preferable
* Experience with neurodivergent individuals and/or learning difficulties and SEMH in any setting, with transferable skills
* Knowledge and clinical understanding of OT theory and its practical application to support independence
* Experience of multi-professional work with teams or services within the designated specialty preferred
* Ability to work independently, be flexible and confident
* Clear and concise report writing skills
* Full UK driving licence and access to a car
* Interest in sensory integration or SI practice (training in progress or completed is preferable, but not essential)
Hours and Contract
Hours: 37.5 hours per week, Monday to Friday, hours to overlap with core school hours (Part-time hours may be considered)
Contract: Permanent (Term time only, or flexibility around full-time contract can be discussed based on personal circumstances)
