Elevate your career with PwC as a Financial Risk and Controls Lead. This high-impact position offers an exciting opportunity to be at the forefront of a rapidly expanding firm. As a key player, you'll collaborate with diverse teams to craft innovative financial solutions and mitigate risks across various initiatives. Your expertise will guide strategic decisions, embed best practices, and shape the future of financial controls, all while engaging with senior stakeholders and driving consistency across our network.
What your days will look like:
1. Framework Development & Leadership: Establish a robust financial risk management framework and lead monthly Risk and Control Governance Forums, engaging key stakeholders from various lines of service.
2. Collaboration & Risk Management: Work closely with operational teams to align finance risks with the firm's risk appetite, providing a strategic finance risk perspective on significant projects and initiatives.
3. Innovation & Continuous Improvement: Drive process improvement and innovation within the finance function, enhancing our financial controls and methodology.
4. Audit & Compliance Support: Facilitate successful statutory and internal audits, collaborating with auditors to establish and implement control recommendations.
5. Cross-Functional Engagement: Partner with representatives from across the PwC global network to share insights, develop solutions, and ensure consistency in financial control practices.
6. Replacement of core finance system: Lead as a central advisor in the overhaul of our core finance system.
This role is for you if:
7. Qualifications & Experience: Must be a qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA etc.) or hold an international equivalent. Must have extensive experience in financial controls, ideally gained within a large professional services firm with knowledge around financial regulations (IFRS, SOX etc.).
8. Leadership & Team Development: Demonstrated experience in building and leading high-performing teams.
9. Expertise in Financial Analysis: Strong skills in financial analysis, regulatory compliance, and complex accounting issues.
10. Technical Proficiency: Familiarity with financial reporting software, ERP systems, and robust Excel abilities.
11. Problem-Solving & Strategic Thinking: Adept at resolving complex issues with a strong focus on accuracy and detail.
