About the Role We are seeking a skilled and experienced Plant, HGV & Commercial Vehicle Fitter to join our growing team. This is a varied role responsible for the maintenance, servicing, diagnostics, and repair of a wide range of heavy plant machinery, HGVs, trailers, and light commercial vehicles. Based primarily at our purpose-built workshop, you will also attend on-site breakdowns as required. You will work closely with the Plant Manager and Fleet Maintenance team, using your mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic expertise to ensure all equipment is safe, compliant, and performing at optimal levels. Responsibilities Service, maintain and repair various types of vehicles and machinery, including: * 100t–20t tracked excavators, mobile crushing plants, hydraulic attachments * Dumptrucks, loading shovels, telehandlers, generators, * Scania trucks, low loaders, trailers, and light commercial vehicles * Conduct regular inspections, fault-finding and diagnostics * Prepare vehicles and trailers for MOT and 6-weekly inspections * Perform on-site repairs independently when required * Assemble and fabricate parts in line with schematics and safety protocols * Help to maintain accurate service and repair records * Comply to health and safety standards at all times Required Skills & Qualifications * Full UK driving licence (HGV Class 1 or 2 is advantageous but not essential) * Proven experience in a similar role (Plant Fitter, HGV Technician, Service Engineer or similar) * Excellent mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and fault-finding skills * Strong working knowledge of ABS systems and MOT preparation * Ability to work independently on-site and as part of a team * A proactive, safety-conscious mindset Package * Competitive salary * Company van with fuel card * Ongoing training and professional development * Opportunities for overtime to increase earnings * Supportive and expanding company environment How to Apply For more information or to apply, please contact our careers team via the apply button.
