Are you interested in working within a busy Health and Safety Team committed to continuous improvement and supporting positive Health and Safety management systems and culture across a large organisation?
We are looking for a Health and Safety Adviser to join the team to provide excellent health and safety advice across the functions of the County Council.
Responsibilities
* Supporting policy development, advising, auditing, reporting, investigating incidents, and working closely with services and teams to create solutions for health and safety challenges and share best practice.
* Remaining highly organised, juggling competing demands while staying self‑motivated.
* Applying strong attention to detail, IT skills and analytical skills.
* Communicating and engaging with a wide range of stakeholders.
* Traveling across the county.
* Participating in competency‑based interviews and a short presentation to the panel.
Qualifications
* Experience in a similar Health and Safety role.
* Holder or working towards a NEBOSH General Certificate/Diploma or equivalent.
* Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
* Command of spoken English to meet statutory duty under Part 7 of the Immigration Act (2016).
