Fixed-Term Project | Live Sporting Environment
We are working on behalf of a leading national soft services provider to appoint an experienced Project Manager for a high-profile live sporting event project.
This is a senior, delivery-focused role, responsible for managing a complex, time-critical programme from mobilisation through to completion. The successful candidate will play a key role in coordinating multiple internal functions and ensuring operational readiness and successful delivery in a live environment.
The Role
As Project Manager, you will take full ownership of the organisation’s scope of works for the event programme. Acting as the central coordination point, you will work closely with Operations, HR, Payroll, Health & Safety, Finance, and senior leadership teams to ensure the project is planned, resourced, and delivered to the highest standard.
This role suits a structured, highly organised Project Manager who is calm under pressure and comfortable operating at both strategic and operational levels.
Key Responsibilities

Lead the mobilisation, delivery, and close-out of a major live event project

Develop and manage detailed project plans, timelines, trackers, and risk registers
*
Coordinate activity across Operations, HR, Payroll, H&S, Finance, and Commercial teams
*
Act as the primary point of contact for internal stakeholders and venue partners
*
Monitor progress against milestones and provide clear, accurate reporting
*
Manage risks, issues, and change within a fast-moving environment
*
Support venue-based operational management teams throughout delivery
*
Ensure compliance with contractual, client, and health & safety requirements
*
Lead post-project reviews, lessons learned sessions, and formal close-out
Role Details

Contract: Fixed-term project appointment
(Anticipated January – August 2026)
*
Hours: Full-time, flexibility required during peak delivery periods
*
Location: Glasgow area (office-based initially with regular venue liaison)
*
Salary: £47,500 pro rata, plus completion bonus
*
Working Pattern:
*
Core hours: Monday–Friday, 08:30–17:00
*
Evening, weekend, and event-day working required during peak periods
Candidate Profile
You will be an experienced Project Manager, ideally from an events, facilities management, construction, or large-scale operational background, with a proven ability to manage complex projects in live environments.
