The Women & Families Resource Centre (WFRC) is looking for a dedicated and enthusiastic Volunteer Outreach Worker to help us expand our reach and strengthen support for women and families across Wolverhampton. About Us WFRC is a registered charity committed to supporting, empowering, and advocating for women and children facing challenging circumstances. Through practical support, counselling, home visits, community groups, workshops, and our Baby Bank, we help women build confidence, resilience, and independence. As we continue to grow, we are seeking an organised and community-focused individual to play a key role in developing and coordinating projects that make a meaningful difference. About the Role This is a unique opportunity to become an important member of a fast-growing charity and take ownership of community-based projects from idea to delivery. You will help connect women and families with vital support services, build partnerships within the local community, coordinate volunteers, and contribute to projects that improve lives. Key Responsibilities Coordinate and support the delivery of community projects and initiatives. Plan and organise activities that respond to the needs of women and families. Develop referral pathways and strengthen links with local organisations and support services. Build positive relationships with community groups, stakeholders, and partner agencies. Help recruit, induct, and support volunteers involved in project delivery. Gather feedback from service users to help shape future activities and services. Assist with project planning, monitoring, reporting, and record keeping. Support fundraising initiatives, awareness campaigns, and community engagement events. Promote WFRC services through community networks and social media platforms. We're Looking For Someone Who: Has excellent communication and relationship-building skills. Is confident engaging with people from diverse backgrounds. Is organised, proactive, and able to manage multiple priorities. Enjoys working independently while also contributing to a supportive team. Has basic digital skills, including email, social media, and online platforms. Understands the importance of confidentiality, safeguarding, equality, diversity, and inclusion. Is passionate about supporting women, children, and families.
