As a Maintenance Assistant, you will be responsible for ensuring the service's facilities are fit for purpose, gardening, and regularly conducting audits to identify and repair faults, ensuring safety for service users, staff, and visitors.
You will work alongside an established team, handling all maintenance-related tasks, liaising with contractors to support the upkeep of the service.

As a Maintenance Assistant, your responsibilities include:
* Ensuring that the service, buildings, facilities, and equipment are maintained and fit for purpose.
* Using good DIY skills to maintain safety for service users.
* Performing regular checks and maintenance.
* Repairing and maintaining all buildings.
* Liaising with a manager to report faults and defects.
* Participating in a 1-week on-call rota for emergency maintenance.
* Supporting contractors on-site and completing all related paperwork and tool checks.
To be successful in this role, you should:
* Follow systems and procedures.
* Have previous experience in a maintenance role.
* Work effectively both as part of a team and independently.
* Show courtesy and respect to residents at all times.
* Attend and participate in training sessions and staff meetings.
Where you will be working:
You will be based at Three Valleys Hospital, helping to provide a safe and supportive environment for people with complex mental health issues.
You will collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to provide care pathways for up to 43 Service Users across four distinct, gender-specific rehabilitation services, including three community houses that complement our rehabilitation pathway.
