Role Overview
We are seeking a Fully Skilled Car Mechanic / Motor Vehicle Technician capable of working independently on a wide variety of vehicles. The ideal candidate will possess strong diagnostic capabilities, excellent technical knowledge, and the ability to deliver high-quality repairs, servicing, and maintenance work. This role requires someone who can interpret diagnostic data, complete repairs efficiently.
Key Responsibilities
· Perform routine vehicle servicing, inspections, and maintenance.
· Diagnose mechanical and electrical faults using both diagnostic tools and manual techniques.
· Carry out repairs on engines, brakes, suspension, transmission systems, exhausts, and electrical components.
· Conduct MOT preparation and associated repair work (MOT tester certification preferred but not essential).
· Replace tyres, batteries, and other consumable components as required.
· Provide clear explanations of identified issues and recommended repairs.
· Follow garage procedures for quoting, approvals, and customer communication.
· Maintain a clean, safe, and organised working environment.
· Keep up to date with automotive technologies and diagnostic techniques.
Required Skills & Qualifications
· Fully skilled and experienced Motor Vehicle Technician, capable of working independently.
· Strong diagnostic skills with the ability to interpret and act on diagnostic data.
· MOT Tester certification desirable but not essential.
· Excellent understanding of modern vehicle systems.
· Full UK driving licence.
