Overview
The role is based at Aldrington House, treating children and young people with serious mental health problems and eating disorders. The service aligns with NICE Concordant Evidenced Based Treatment for those children and young people with an eating disorder. You will provide high quality specialist clinical assessments, including relevant psychiatric and physical investigation to children, young people and their families in a range of settings, and work collaboratively with other members of the team to plan and deliver appropriately tailored treatment plans.
You will work as part of a friendly and supportive multidisciplinary team which includes nurses, systemic family therapists and child psychotherapists. This post will work alongside other Consultants and Specialty Doctors who work in Sussex ChYPS. You will also be part of a Trust-wide consultant network with opportunities to liaise with colleagues in other posts and develop peer networks. Regular division meetings in the locality and clinical governance meetings will provide additional opportunities for collaboration.
Responsibilities

* Develop and deliver individually tailored treatment plans in collaboration with the multidisciplinary team.
* Collaborate with nurses, systemic family therapists and child psychotherapists within the Sussex ChYPS framework.
* Engage with a Trust-wide consultant network and participate in local division meetings and clinical governance activities.

We are seeking a permanent CAMHS Consultant Psychiatrist to join the Children and Young People’s Sussex Family Eating Disorder Service to deliver a safe, effective and caring service for young people aged 10–18 with eating disorders and their families/carers within Sussex. The role offers a Recruitment and Retention payment of £45,000 structured over three years: £15,000 on recruitment, £10,000 at 12 months, £10,000 at 24 months and £10,000 at 36 months.
