We are seeking a passionate and driven Theatre Practitioner to be part of our dedicated team, working full-time on a permanent basis. You will have the chance to shape your career while providing high-quality, patient-focused care in a flexible and varied inpatient theatre environment.
As a Theatre Practitioner, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality patient-focused care, maintaining a safe environment for all patients attending theatres, and coordinating inpatient care with minimal supervision. You will act as a role model and collaborate with all members of the multidisciplinary team.
You will receive supportive training and guidance to build confidence and excel in delivering safe, high-quality patient care within an environment that values your skills.

Responsibilities:
1. You will be responsible for delivering high-quality patient-focused care, providing and maintaining a safe environment for all patients attending theatres, and performing comprehensive assessments of intraoperative care.
2. Coordinate and carry out perioperative care with minimal supervision, acting as a role model and collaborating with the multidisciplinary team.
3. Plan the workload for theatre lists, considering efficient and effective use of resources.
4. Work as part of a multidisciplinary team to achieve high standards of patient care and positively impact the perioperative journey.
5. Perform all aspects of scrub and circulating roles within theatre, ensuring quality of care and standards are maintained.
6. Supervise students of Nursing, Operating Department Practitioners, nurses on adaptation programs, and post-registration learners.
7. Act as a team leader within theatres and coordinate the department in the absence of a Band 6, under supervision of a Band 7.
Every team member is a highly skilled, competent practitioner providing exemplary care as patients emerge from anesthesia, often a vulnerable time.
