EQUANS is looking for a CAD Operator for our North West & Central contract in Liverpool. This role is a permanent full‑time position, 37.5 hours per week, with a competitive salary and benefits package.
Qualifications & Experience
* At least two years of professional experience using AutoCAD, with a strong understanding of drafting standards and best practices.
* Experience creating and managing parametric blocks is preferred.
* Familiarity with Revit, BIM 360, and Navisworks is highly advantageous.
* Autodesk certification in AutoCAD and Revit is preferred.
* Ideally experienced in Bolster to record compliance, though training will be provided.
Responsibilities
* Perform a variety of minor design/drafting/space‑planning tasks, room moves and minor building works.
* Establish guidelines and procedures for CAD data management.
* Create filing guidelines for drawings to maintain up‑to‑date drawings.
* Survey and update existing ‘as‑built’ drawings.
* Prepare, update and validate installation drawings for small projects and variations.
* Revise and update existing drawings to reflect design changes in collaboration with Lifecycle and Capital delivery teams to ensure consistent documentation.
* Convert drawings to DWG format.
* Upload and maintain drawings in the Bolster system.
* Ensure documentation for all aspects of O&M manuals is held.
* Update and maintain electronic filing systems.
* Maintain notes, design calculations and other documentation (including drawings, bill of materials, list of design parameters, and performance guarantees) for future reference.
* Review and modify information under supervision by the Project and Planning Managers (both Equans and client side).
* Maintain and update the asset database to ensure accurate asset details.
