Orchard 2000 Group Practice is seeking a motivated and enthusiastic Advanced Nurse Practitioner to join our friendly and dynamic team.
This permanent, part-time position offers negotiable pay and hours, with days to be discussed further. Protected learning time, CPD, and support from a dedicated GP supervisor will be provided to help you flourish within the role.
Main duties of the job
With support from your GP supervisor, you will provide care for patients, including history taking, clinical assessment, diagnosis, treatment, and evaluation of care. You will demonstrate safe, clinical decision-making and expert care, including assessment and diagnostic skills. You will work collaboratively with the healthcare team to meet patient needs and support policy and procedure delivery. Your role includes one on-call clinic per week, with additional on-call coverage during clinical staff annual leave.

We operate from two sites and have a patient list of approximately 10,000. Our clinical team includes GPs, ANPs, Physician Associates, and practice nurses, supported by a dedicated administration team.
Job responsibilities
Key clinical responsibilities:
* Assess, diagnose, plan, implement, and evaluate treatments for patients with undifferentiated or complex needs.
* Proactively identify and manage treatment plans for patients at risk of long-term conditions.
* Diagnose and manage acute and chronic conditions, integrating drug and non-drug treatments.
* Prescribe and review medications, ensuring therapeutic effectiveness and adherence.
* Prioritize health problems and intervene appropriately, including emergency care.
* Support health promotion and self-care strategies.
Communication:
* Use sensitive communication styles to ensure informed consent and support patients receiving bad news.
* Communicate effectively with patients, carers, and external stakeholders, considering cultural and individual needs.
* Maintain accurate records and manage workload effectively.
* Deliver care according to NICE guidelines and evidence-based practices.
Leadership and team working:
* Take responsibility for own learning and performance, supporting staff development.
* Lead and participate in quality improvement initiatives and service development.
* Work effectively within the team, supporting others and developing new ways of working.

Qualifications
* Degree in Advanced Clinical Practice
* Independent Non-Medical Prescriber
* Full NMC Registration
* Experience in primary care and general practice
