About the Role:
We are looking for an organised and detail-driven Payroll & HR Administrator to take ownership of our payroll function while providing essential HR and finance administration support. This is a key role within the business, supporting both weekly and monthly paid employees and helping ensure the smooth, compliant running of our operations.
You’llneed a solid understanding of payroll processes, excellent attention to detail, and a flexible, proactive approach. Experience with SAGE, Xero payroll, and/or within the construction sector would be highlyadvantageous.
Key Responsibilities:
Payroll
* Oversee all aspects of weekly and monthly payroll, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and up-to-date records
* Prepare, process, andvalidatepayroll data, including new starters, leavers, contractual changes, salary adjustments, statutory payments, and pensions
* Calculate and process subcontractor tax payments
* Administer pension auto-enrolment, employee deductions, and pension changes
HR Administration
* Support the full employee lifecycle, including onboarding, contract preparation, and offboarding
* Record and track holidays for a growing team (currently approx. 40 employees)
* Work closely with Contracts Managers to support attendance management using live monitoring systems
* Maintainaccurate, GDPR-compliant employee records and ensuretimelyupdates
* Track key HR milestones such as probation reviews, appraisals, and mandatory training
* Prepare monthly HR and payroll reports, including headcount, turnover, absence, and benefits data
* General & Finance Administration
* Order and manage PPE supplies,maintainingaccuraterecords and a robust sign-out process
* Provide administrative support to the Finance Manager whenrequired
* Assistwith wider administrative tasks to support the needs of the business
