Newly Qualified Accountant

This is an exciting opportunity for an immediately available Newly/ Recently qualified Accountant to join an independent global asset management firm with a global client base of investors.
You will join a collaborative finance team for a period of 18-24 months working closely with the Group Financial Accountant. The role will involve working on all management and financial accounting activities.
WHAT WILL YOU DO:
Prepare monthly group management accounts and reports for the Board and Executive Committee
Prepare and review monthly Group consolidation
Prepare the monthly IFRS management reporting for selected entities in the group, and prepare local GAAP statutory accounts
Prepare and review monthly cost centres' P&L's actuals versus budget reports and full year forecasting
Prepare and review monthly audit files reconciling all balance sheet amounts to supporting documentation, highlighting any risks to senior management
Manage and prepare all statutory financial statements ensuring that all submissions are on time, accurate and compliant
Support the preparation of the various VAT reporting
Liaise with the auditors ensuring smooth audit process
Continually review the financial controls of the business ensuring they are fit for purpose
Support other financial control and reporting initiatives as required
WHAT YOU WILL HAVE/BE:
Educated to bachelor degree level or equivalent
Newly qualified accountant (ACA/ACCA/CIMA)
Solid accounting knowledge of IFRS (UK GAAP & US GAAP beneficial)
Exposure to private equity / asset management
Excellent communication skills (written and spoken)
Good knowledge of Microsoft Office including Word, Excel and Outlook
Experience with SAGE and Netsuite is desirable but not essential
