A California school district is seeking a full-time Special Education Teacher to support Kindergarten and 1st grade students in a Special Day Class (SDC) setting for the remainder of the 2024-2025 school year. This direct hire opportunity is available immediately, with the district moving quickly to schedule interviews.
Position Details:
* Role: Special Education Teacher (SPED) SDC
* Location: Stockton, California
* Employment Type: Direct Hire, Full-Time
* Start Date: ASAP
* End Date: End of 2024-2025 school year
* Caseload: Kindergarten and 1st grade students
Key Responsibilities:
* Deliver specialized instruction and manage a caseload of K1st grade students in an SDC classroom
* Develop, implement, and monitor Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) tailored to each student
* Modify curriculum and teaching strategies to meet diverse learning needs
* Collaborate effectively with general education teachers, paraprofessionals, and other staff members
* Provide academic, social, and emotional support to foster student growth
* Ensure pliance with all federal and state special education regulations
Qualifications:
* Active Special Education teaching credential valid in California is required
* Experience in Special Day Class (SDC) environments preferred
* Strong classroom management abilities and excellent munication skills
* Ability to work collaboratively with students, staff, and families
