Housekeeping Assistant Manager - Accommodation

Our Housekeeping team is responsible for maintaining more than 800 units of accommodation; from apartments and penthouses to Lodges and Treehouses, and for looking after our public areas and office spaces, so no two days are the same. HOUSEKEEPING ASSISTANT MANAGER - ACCOMMODATION | £14.84 per hour
You will assist the Housekeeping management team in the smooth and efficient running of the housekeeping division, managing a team of Team Leaders and up to 90 colleagues.
Responsibilities will include:
1. Assisting with the organisation and allocation of duties relating to the housekeeping cleaning operation, ensuring the highest possible standards are achieved and maintained at all times.
2. Assisting with managing budgets and payroll costs to ensure all divisional targets are achieved, without compromising our level of customer care.
3. The effective recruitment and selection of housekeeping colleagues and the coordination and evaluation of training needs within the division.
4. The general welfare, motivation and development of direct reports, including the monitoring of standards in line with company policy.
HOURS OF WORK
You will be contracted to work 160 hours per 4-week period on a flexible basis. This means that your days and hours of work could vary each week, but you will always receive at least your contracted hours each period. Shifts will fall between the hours of 8:30am and 10pm, working 1 in 4 weekends.
As our village is open 365 days of the year, your working hours will include weekends, public / bank holidays and during Christmas and / or New Year on a rota basis.
EXPERIENCE, SKILLS & QUALIFICATIONS
Essential requirements:
5. Competent using Microsoft Office
6. Sociably confident with excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to support, develop and challenge a team
7. Team leadership experience within a demanding, service driven environment
8. Have a motivational approach towards colleagues and work
9. Empathetic and supportive approach to leading a team
Desirable requirements:
10. Willingness to undertake First Aid training and qualification
11. Customer service experience
12. Previous experience in the Cleaning and / or Hospitality industry
13. Coaches individuals to be accountable for their own performance
