Langdons can deliver to almost any location in the UK or Ireland within 24 hours. We have 9 depots and over 375 lorries carrying chilled and frozen food all over the country. The role: Your role will ensure to provide a people-focused and legally compliant HR support service for colleagues and managers on a company-wide basis. What you’ll do: Assist with initial emails and enquiries for all HR related queries, ensuring that there is a timely response, appropriate follow-up, and escalation of more complex issues to a relevant colleague Assist the HR team with preparation of employment-related policies, procedures, and associated documentation ready for review. Champion staff wellbeing and engagement initiatives on a company-wide basis. Be passionate about continuous improvement and actively seeking opportunities for more effective ways of working. Co-ordinate internal and external recruitment campaigns, ensuring all stages are appropriately followed in line with company procedures and candidate communications are maintained throughout. Act as first point of contact for new starters, ensuring all onboarding documentation is sent within the set timeframes. Assist with the development and maintenance of company HR systems and associated software in accordance with company retention procedures and data protection requirements, coaching others where required Prepare contracts for the HR, Talent Development and Engagement Manager to review. Assist and ad hoc HR related projects where required. Prepare HR reports as and when required. Note take on relevant meetings as and when required. Commit to continuous personal and professional development and reflective practice and empower others to do the same What we’re looking for: Qualified to Level 3 Business Administration or equivalent. Experienced in working with staff at all levels and working in a team-based office environment in a customer-facing role. Committed to ongoing professional development and has experience in coaching and supporting others to perform their role. IT literate in Microsoft Office packages and have the ability to compile, analyse and interpret relevant data. Ability to work unsupervised and as part of a team. Ability to work to fluid targets and deadlines. Proven verbal and written communication skills. High attention to detail and confident to challenge discrepancies where necessary in the right manner and on a timely basis. Ability to act with sensitivity and influence others to take a particular course of action.
