Swansea Council is seeking Refuse & Recycling LGV Driver-Operatives to join our dedicated Waste Management team. This is more than just a driving job — it's a hands-on opportunity to contribute to keeping our city clean, green, and sustainable.
What You'll Be Doing:
* Safely driving and operating LGV Class 2 refuse and recycling vehicles across Swansea.
* Collecting domestic, commercial, and recycling waste from homes, flats, schools, and businesses.
* Supporting the team with manual loading when not driving.
* Promoting responsible waste disposal and encouraging recycling among residents.
* Conducting essential vehicle checks and minor maintenance tasks.
What You'll Need:
* A valid LGV Class 2 driving licence, CPC qualification preferred.
* A strong sense of teamwork and reliability.
* Basic vehicle maintenance knowledge and a commitment to safety standards.
* Good communication and customer care skills.
* Flexibility to work overtime and in varying weather conditions.
