Instrument & Control Technician / Chemical Manufacturing / County of Lanarkshire / £52k + benefits (DOE)

This role is ideally looking for someone who is Instrument bias within maintenance with a solid appreciation for PLCs.
Key Responsibilities
* Maintain safe working practices and ensure strict adherence to permit-to-work and safety systems
* Maintenance of Field Instruments – level, flow, temp, pressure.
* Support automation and instrumentation activities aligned with engineering objectives
* Troubleshoot, maintain, calibrate, and repair control and analyser equipment
* Optimise control loops and system performance alongside engineering teams
* Manage small automation projects and support CAPEX initiatives
* Update technical documentation and equipment history records
* Monitor spare parts inventory and coordinate requirements
* Conduct risk assessments and support Management of Change processes
Requirements
* HNC/HND in Electrical or similar technical field (I&C)
* Experience in a continuous manufacturing or process plant environment
* Knowledge of PLC, DCS, SCADA - control systems in general
* Understanding of industrial safety standards and best practices
* Solid analytical, troubleshooting, and communication skills
