As a Strategic Business Change Lead you will set the strategic direction with a business change lens on our most complex and important transformational change programmes and play a key role in ensuring that programmes (change initiatives) meet their objectives of delivering significant and complex changes to operational areas. You will define the requirements for the delivery of the changes to the business areas and ensure that interventions are planned which establish the new ways of working, increase employee adoption and usage, and embed change into the organization. You will become a trusted advisor to senior leaders and act as a coach to help them fulfil the role of change sponsors. You will also provide direct support and coaching to all levels of managers and supervisors as they help their teams through transitions. You will report directly to the Head of Change Enablement and act as a member of the Change Enablement Leadership team, you will support the development of the Business Change capability of the division; being an advocate and role model for the profession, coaching and mentoring more junior colleagues. This is a people management role. You will be responsible for day to day management of the team and for defining roles and responsibilities. You will develop your team through sharing information effectively, coaching and communicating a clear vision to ensure that your staff are productive, engaged and motivated to deliver the area's aims. This will include setting clear goals and smart stretching objectives that are aligned to those of the team, division and directorate. You will also be responsible for managing all staff-related matters that may arise including performance, absence and sickness. Primary Outcomes and Accountabilities: Define the vision, strategy and benefits of our most complex and transformational Change Programmes Act as an advisor to the sponsor, business owner and programme manager to define and agree the objectives and therefore success criteria of the Programme Develop a Change Plan and Roadmap outlining the scope, resources, processes and tools required to support the change Identify key stakeholders across the duration of the change, manage the stakeholder map and engagement plan Agree with key leaders on the scale and impact of change and the work involved, so time and resource commitments can be identified while maintaining business as usual activities Oversee the development of critical business change artifacts including Communications Plan supporting the need to keep all stakeholders well informed of the change and ensure it is seen as a positive opportunity for involvement and engagement Act as a coach for senior leaders and executives to help them fulfil the role of change sponsor as they help their teams through change. Lead on communication plan development, delivery and feedback loops and align the communications with the programme vision Build strong relationships across business functions to ensure an integrated strategy Advise the programme team on any communication issues, and managing /supporting any issues as they arise Understand the business challenges and opportunities of the programme, and translate into impactful communications solutions Develop and implement the change management and training approach in collaboration with the project team Work with the existing change and communications team to develop effective communication products using appropriate communication medium and message senders Be an active member of the Community of Practice and taking the lead on the evolution of the division and capability. Minimum Criteria Change Management professional qualified to Practitioner level (or equivalent experience) Signification skills and experience of working in complex projects and programmes to delivery business change Deep understanding and applying change management tools, principles and project management techniques. Ability to undertake stakeholder analysis and collaborate with the business owner and project manager on management of stakeholder expectations Identify and manage change management risks and issues Essential Criteria Demonstrable experience with cross functional business improvement initiatives. Strong advisory and facilitation skills. Strong influencing and relationship skills. Able to influence without the need for direct authority. Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Desirable Criteria Experience of managing & working in a change programme in the public sector. Salary and Benefits Information We encourage flexible working, part time working and job share arrangements. Part time salary and benefits will be on a pro-rated basis as appropriate. This role offers a salary of Leeds, £76,240 - £85,770 and London, £84,720 - £95,310. In addition, we also offer a comprehensive benefits package as detailed below: Currently a non-contributory, career average pension giving you a guaranteed retirement benefit of 1/80th of your annual salary for every year worked. There is the option to increase your pension (to 1/65th) or decrease (to 1/105th) in exchange for salary through our flexible benefits programme each year. The Bank has the discretion to vary standard accrual rates and dial up and dial down rates at any time and to withdraw dial up and dial down options at any time. A discretionary performance award based on a current award pool. An 8% benefits allowance with the option to take as salary or purchase a wide range of flexible benefits. 26 days' annual leave with option to buy up to 12 additional days through flexible benefits. Private medical insurance and income protection.
