Aramark UK are currently recruiting for a General Service Assistant to be a part of our integral team in Taunton, TA1 2DN. As a General Assistant, you will mainly be working front-of-house. You will support day-to-day operations by serving food and beverages to our customers, alongside till work, cleaning dining areas and supporting both front and back-of-house areas. You will provide excellent customer service and report to the General Manager on site. You must be eligible to work in the UK and have resided in-country for more than 3 years. Security checks are required for this role. This is a maternity cover role until 30 June 2026.
Responsibilities
* Serve food and beverages to customers to the standards set by Aramark, including front-of-house service.
* Carry out cleaning duties associated with service and related equipment and/or furniture.
* Prepare the service area and/or service points for each shift.
* Ensure correct storage of food items and equipment after service.
* Maintain personal hygiene, appearance, and uniform to company regulations at all times.
* Present an image conducive to good customer relations.
* Comply with and assist in the promotion and implementation of the company's health and safety policy.
* Support day-to-day operations and collaborate with front and back-of-house teams.
Qualifications
* High personal standards and attention to detail.
* Experience in a similar role is essential.
* Strong interpersonal skills.
* Working knowledge of food hygiene and HACCP.
* Keen interest in developing food preparation skills and culinary knowledge.
What we offer
* We are offering a full-time position.
* You will be working 30 hours per week, Monday to Friday, with shift times ranging from 8:00am to 2:00pm.
* The hourly rate is £12.21 per hour.
