We are looking for an experienced IT Support Engineer to join our client on a long-term contract. This role is fully on-site in Woking, and we are ideally seeking local candidates who can start ASAP.
Contract: Long-term (initial contract with extensions)
Start Date: Immediate (interviews this week)
As an IT Support Engineer, you will be the first point of contact for IT issues, providing hands-on support across hardware, software, and networking. You will work closely with end-users, resolve incidents efficiently, and ensure smooth day-to-day IT operations.
* Provide 1st and 2nd line support for desktops, laptops, printers, and mobile devices
* Troubleshoot and resolve hardware, software, and network-related issues
* Install, configure, and maintain Windows OS and Microsoft 365 applications
* Manage Active Directory accounts, permissions, and group policies
* Support user onboarding/offboarding processes
* Ensure timely resolution of incidents, escalating when necessary
* Maintain IT documentation and asset records
* Proven IT Support Engineer experience (1st/2nd line)
* Strong knowledge of Windows OS, Active Directory, Microsoft 365
* Hands-on experience with networking (LAN, WAN, VPN, Wi-Fi troubleshooting)
* Ability to support and configure hardware (PCs, laptops, printers, peripherals)
* Excellent troubleshooting and communication skills
* Proactive, reliable, and able to work independently on-site
* Must be eligible to work in the UK and commute to Woking daily
* Long-term opportunity with extensions
