About Us
Maylandsea Primary School is a welcoming and inclusive primary school committed to ensuring that every child reaches their full potential. We are excited to open our brand new dedicated Additional Resource Provision (ARP) which will support pupils with a range of special educational needs, including autism and complex cognition and learning needs.
The Role
* Support the planning and delivery of tailored lessons for pupils with EHCPs.
* Lead small group and 1:1 interventions, ensuring pupils make progress academically, socially and emotionally.
* Take responsibility for whole‑class teaching when required.
* Work collaboratively with the ARP Teacher, SENCO and wider staff team.
* Support positive behaviour management and create a safe, structured environment.
* Build strong partnerships with parents, carers and external professionals.
About You
* Has experience of supporting children with SEND in a primary school or specialist setting.
* Understands strategies for supporting pupils with autism, communication needs, and/or social, emotional and mental health needs.
* Has strong communication, organisation and teamwork skills.
* Is caring, resilient and committed to inclusive practice.
